The song peaked at No. 4 on the Billboard R&B Digital Songs charts.[2] A music video for the song was released on October 10, 2018[3]

The song is a "velvety" ballad with a finger-snap beat and warm piano. The lyrics depict a woman seeking safety and security and her partner promising his love. The music video is in black and white and features Carey creating a sense of intimacy while highlighting her lavish life by posing in different spots across Los Angeles.
