The Butterfly Returns is an ongoing concert residency by American singer-songwriter Mariah Carey at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. It began on July 5, 2018, with performances on select dates through February 21, 2019. This is Carey's second concert residency placed in Las Vegas since the two-year #1 to Infinity, which began in 2015 and concluded in 2017. It includes songs from all of her albums except for Charmbracelet and Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel. On August 27, 2018, she announced that she would add five additional shows, which will take place in February 2019.

Background

Carey announced the residency on April 30, 2018 on Twitter, marking her fourth concert residency. She arranged the setlist by fans' demand and by posting polls, as well as asking fans on Twitter. This residency is different from her previous one, #1 to Infinity, as this includes her less known songs and singles.
